Toronto, Ontario, August 27, 2010 - Aluette of Switzerland wins the prestigious 2010 8 Metre World title on Lake Ontario today. While Toronto's Raven wins the Sira Cup, in the classic division, and places sixth overall defeating two of her modern counterparts. Another beautiful day of racing on Lake Ontario for the 8 Metre fleet marks the end of the eight race series. Aluette's finishes were: 3, 2, 1, 1, 2, 1, 2, (16) for a grand total of 12 points excluding their worst race. Aluette didn't have to race in the final race as they had the regatta wrapped ...
