Skandia Sail for Gold 2011 day five saw lighter winds which brought race wins in the Finn class for both Ben Ainslie (GBR) and Giles Scott (GBR). Scott and Ainslie happen to be the only two sailors who now have the ability to win the regatta. Ivan Kljakovic Gaspic (CRO) currently in third is within striking distance of Scott. Friday's forecast for five to eight knots in the morning from the south-west and building into the afternoon was dead on but, race nine still saw numerous postponements as the line was reset several times waiting for the wind to ease ...
