Second yacht attack in three months in Colombia's Five Bays

French cruising sailor Brice Lequertier, sailing on yacht Piolan has reported an attack in Bahia Guayraca, the third(middle) of five bays in the Five Bay area of the Caribbean coast of Colombia. This is a picturesque bay which has been in the past highly recommended for long range cruising sailors as they made their way from the more easterly Caribbean islands, heading for Panama. On May 28 this year, while the crew were sleeping, two men boarded the yacht armed with a gun. They attacked and beat up the crew, then stole all they could from the boat, including passports, ...
