If catamarans are your style (and they are exploding in popularity around the world) and you are anywhere within reach of Sydney, you you won't want to miss the Sailing Show of the most successful catamaran builder in Australia, Seawind. They are hosting the very first Seawind Sailing Show at Birkenhead Point Marina, Drummoyne, Sydney on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 April from 10am - 3pm and test sails by appointment from 3pm.

Says Brent Vaughan, marketing and sales manager for the brand, 'It's the first time we've ever had our production models in one place, including the Seawind 1250, 1160, 1000XL and 1050 Resort.

Visitors can enjoy a personal tour and compare all product models without the crowds of a boat show, plus watch an informative seminar, enjoy some refreshments and bbq and even book a Seawind Charter Holiday!
'Our full team will be there and we hope to see few hundred people.'

As he explains: 'The 1250 is just back from its overseas trip. We are marketing the 1250 as a serious bluewater boat, so we were keen to stretch her legs and relaly put her through her paces. She sailed across Bass Strait over summer and then to Auckland, to see if it could deliver. It's done 6000nm since October 2009 and everybody is really pleased with it.'

Sanctuary Cove will be the vessel's first major show, and Seawind will also exhibit the Seawind 1000XL and Seawind 1160.

Also at Sanctuary Cove, Seawind will launch is Seawind Sailing Holidays, 'where we can help people who want to sail, say the 1160 anywhere in the world - like Thailand, the Caribbean, Whitsundays. Just another string we're adding to our bow.'

Will there be the opportunity to buy a Seawind cat at the inaugural Seawind Sailing Show? SaysVaughan emphatically: 'Absolutely, every day is a boat sales day.'
