Eight races in the Techno Class and nine in RS:X were completed in medium to light conditions to determine the U.S. Champion in Techno 293 and the East Coast Champion in the RS:X Olympic Class.

Everyone enjoyed the Chatham YC hospitality at this U.S. Sailing Junior Olympic event, but it was the Canadians who proved particularly quick in these conditions. Fannie de Alcala (Quebec) edged out Raz Sayre (Vineyard Haven, MA) by one point in the final race to take the overall Techno 293 Class title, and the Under 17 age division. The Techno 293 class continues to grow in North America with 35 sailors in the Gold and Silver Fleets.

One of Canada's top two RS:X sailors, Dominque Vallee (Quebec) bested a small but strong RS:X Class ahead of Martin Lefebure (Quebec) and Solvig Sayre (Vineyard Haven, MA). There was also strong showings from Florida sailors in the Techno 293 overall standings rounding out positions 3, 4, 5, and 7.
