Burke Marine is conducting a voluntary product recall of their Deluxe and Standard Bosun Chairs that were purchased nationally after July 2007 that do not display either a production batch number or inspection label.

Several Bosun Chairs that were manufactured between July and August 2007 may have been be fitted with a defective stainless steel lifting ring that when used could split or break causing injury or death.

Due to the potential danger to users and uncertainty when the Bosun chairs may have been purchased this product recall applies to all Burke Bosun Chairs sold after June 2007.
