The naming of the Australian Sailing Team as Program of the Year at the Australian Institute of Sport Awards has been hailed by the organisers of next year?s Perth 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships as yet another sign of the sport?s growing national recognition. The 2011 Event Director, John Longley, said today that the success of Australian sailors at Olympic and world championship level was testimony to the funding and elite training programs supporting them.
