'Perfect nautical cutting board - the rim treatment is the trick'
.
|
Who is the chef on your sailing boat when it is heeled 30 degrees and someone needs to cut the tomatoes? The best cutting board in the world is the one that won't let the tomato juice drip all over the cabin sole and cause the Skipper to slip and break his neck before the day is over - and here it is, just in time for Christmas.
No-one but the experienced sailing boat chef will appreciate how important that slot around the edge of the cutting board is. Don't be fooled by the beautiful appearance of the other cutting boards in the nautical cutting board line-up by UK-Halsey Sailmakers, unless you sail on a cat or a trimaran of course.
The board is made of American hard maple and Santos mahogany by Soundview Millworks, and will make an excellent Christmas present for any boat-owner, whether they are skilled in nautical chef-manship or not.
The board we are recommending (pictured) has a single cleat, with a stylish single stripe, and measures 12"x16" is priced at around US$80.
You can even get custom engraving of your boat's name or burgee on the Cheese Square for a small extra price. Custom engraving will take approximately 10 days.
What a great Christmas present for that sailor who is hard to buy for! To inquire further, email adam [at] ukhalsey.com.
