IODA World Sailing Championships, Langkawi, Malaysia. Noppakao Poonpat from Thailand took the bullet in the final race of the championship to become the 2010 Optimist World Champion in style. Poonpat sailed consistently throughout the Championship, winning four races in the fifteen race series and was on course to take the title with two days to go.
