Bras d'Or Lakes Festival launched to become Canada's premier sailing, boating and cultural festival DUNDEE, NS: A new festival is being launched this weekend to celebrate the beautiful Bras d'Or Lakes, Canada's Inland Sea on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Running from July 23 to August 8, the Bras d'Or Lakes Festival will provide two action-packed weeks of sailing, boating, music, and cultural events in the communities along the shores of the Bras d'Or Lakes.
