Triple Olympic Gold medalist Ben Ainslie (GBR) TEAMORIGIN created something of an upset today when he displaced world 1 ranked skipper Mathieu Richard in the quarterfinals of the 2010 Monsoon Cup. The loss for Richard (FRA) means that he is is reliant on others to win the World Match Racing title, and take the crown vacated by defending world champion Adam Minoprio and his BlackMatch Racing team. The New Zealand crew were in turn bundled out of the regatta in equally unceremonious fashion the previous day when a series of small errors compounded into their exit from the final regatta ...
