The Chief of Maritime Safety Queensland is urging sailors wishing to enter or transit Moreton Bay, to where Brisbane's floods have carried large amounts of debris, to observe extreme caution. General Manager Patrick Quirk has urged all boaties wanting to transit northern Moreton Bay and river precincts to do so only in daylight hours.
