Marine Safety Queensland chief urges caution to sailors in Moreton Bay

The Chief of Maritime Safety Queensland is urging sailors wishing to enter or transit Moreton Bay, to where Brisbane's floods have carried large amounts of debris, to observe extreme caution. General Manager Patrick Quirk has urged all boaties wanting to transit northern Moreton Bay and river precincts to do so only in daylight hours. 'We've been working hard to clear debris and the situation is improving, but we?re urging anyone who needs to go out on the water especially in northern parts of Moreton Bay to be extra vigilant and attentive,' Mr Quirk said.
