One of the most unusual Yacht Club meetings in the world is just about to take place in the centre of Australia. For the first time in 20 years, the Cooper Creek is crossing the Birdsville Track and the Lake Eyre Yacht Club is to hold its 10th Birthday Regatta, from fifth to 9th July, 2010. It is to be held on Lake Killamperpunna, Cooper Creek, from the 5 - 9th July 2010. To sail on lakes in this area is a rarer opportunity than sailing on Lake Eyre itself.
