If you search carefully this week, you just might find Lake Eyre Yacht Club commodore Bob Backway sailing on Lake Eyre. He says he plans to defy a boating ban and sail on the desert waterway this week. National Parks has halted sailing on the normally dry lake which recently filled from floodwater - until permission can be obtained from its native title claimants, and the Arabunna people have refused access to Lake Eyre citing its spiritual significance. Mr Backway has told reporters he would take up to six people with him to sail on Lake Eyre North this week,
