Solo Valcour on Lake Champlain was born in 2008 by a group of sailing enthusiast. To our knowledge, it is the one and only sail race done solo on scenic Lake Champlain in upper state NY & VT. It is called Solo Valcour because essentially it circles the Valcour Island just south of Plattsburgh, NY. The race is approximately 12 miles long.
