The world's most talented women match racers will be in action next week at Newport, Rhode Island for the ISAF Women's Match Racing World Championship. The 20 teams set to compete for the coveted title are loaded with Olympic medalists and world champions and it is on course to be an exciting contest. The ISAF Women's Match Racing World Championship has been run annually since 1999 and since the selection of women's match racing to the Olympic Games for 2012 interest in the discipline has increased.
