Cape Breton Island has begun the penultimate race of the Clipper 09-10 Round the World Yacht Race. At 1700 local time (1600 GMT) the cannon fired from the Royal Cork Yacht Club's start line at Weaver's Point near Crosshaven at the mouth of Cork Harbour to set the teams on their way in the 550-mile race to Ijmuiden in The Netherlands. In wet and overcast conditions with a breeze of 15 knots from the south, the fleet got off to a flying start.
