Delta Lloyd Regatta 2011 came to a close much like the way it started with strong winds and fighting. Gaspic and Wright battled on another for the overall honours which resulted in victory for right from the very start. Kljaovic Gaspic took the remaining time to recover from the first go around to make third, but that was still not enough to hold on to gold. Australian sailor Brendan Casey won the silver medal. With the wind at 15-18 knots and very gusty and shifty it was a fitting and thrilling end to a physically and mentally demanding week. An ...
