Chandlers rejoice, South African sailors to expect 'lengthy ordeal'

While the families of a South African yachting couple kidnapped by pirates and now hostages in southern Somalia have been told to expect a lengthy ordeal, the British sailing couple Paul and Rachel Chandler, just released, are rejoicing after 388 days in captivity. Government officials yesterday said the pirates had still not made any demands for the release of Bruno Pelizzari and his girlfriend, Debbie Calitz, whose own cruising yacht is still docked in Dar es Salaam, where they left it.
