Barcelona World Race update. Ominous? Perhaps?but the inshore route taken by Michel Desjoyeaux (FRA) and Fran?ois Gabart on Foncia has paid them the New Year honours as they slid into 2011 in the lead, carrying a margin of 4.3 miles after 11 hours of the Barcelona World Race. Breezes are very light round through this first night at sea, Desjoyeaux and Gabart making the best speed of the fleet at 5.2kts, over a knot quicker than the second placed We Are Water, the fleet?s oldest boat.
