There were some very disappointed Australians in the de-rigging area of the Sandringham Yacht Club this evening after light winds created havoc with the Sail Melbourne program and the results. However, Austrian eyes were smiling. Only seven classes managed to complete races, and two of the Australian Sailing Team's strongest hopes wished that their classes were among the DNFs. Tom Slingsby in the Laser and Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen in the 49er found themselves on the wrong side of wind shifts and finished well back in the field.
