Audi MedCup Marseille Trophy 2011 opened for the day with two light wind windward-leeward races that were punctuated. The breeze caused delays as the crews and officials had to wait while it settled. Quantum Racing, the World Champions, emerged from the first day's racing on the Audi MedCup Circuit's French regatta had to work hard in the first race after a modest start and only just squeezed out Bribon early in the second heat to win race two.
