European media are reporting that Spain's Real Club Nautica of Valencia and Italy's Green Comm Racing will jointly challenge for the 2013 America's Cup, based on an invitation issued for the official announcement. A leading Spanish -based website www.vsail.info carried the story last Monday, 20 June. The Spanish-Italian challenge is the eighth challenger and will bring the total fleet to nine. They are the unannounced challenger alluded to at last week's Media Announcement in San Francisco where the other seven Challengers were confirmed.
