It's bitterly cold in Valencia, local TV says it was 2 degrees centigrade at dawn, wind abated and although the start as been delayed to midday, there is some hope we will see some race today.

Alinghi was prepared with straight boards vs S foils we saw on Wednesday, sails were loaded, a spare or two on the tender.

And just before 9 am local the Swiss cat left its base at the sound of loud music, Swiss bells and cheers from the fans.
