During the Queen's Birthday weekend (11th to 13th June) the Queensland Cruising Yacht Club (QCYC) in Shorncliffe is once again hosting the Vintage Yacht Regatta. The regatta, in its 36th year is a highlight of the classic yachting sailing calendar and attracts a large fleet of beautifully turned out vessels from yesteryear. A fleet of around 40 of South East Queensland's finest vintage yachts is expected at the event which is not just a 'show and tell' event according to Regatta Director Nigel Statham, 'The five races, sailed off Shorncliffe Headland each day, really allow these graceful yachts to spread ...
