The 2011 LandCorp Mirror World Championship was decided on the final day in great racing that saw the Irishman Ross Kearney claim his second Mirror World Championship with crew Max Odell. The Philippino team of Balladares and Chavez sailed into second place with the British girls Newmand and Rust in third. With only 5.2 points separating the top two boats at the start of the final day of the 2011 Mirror Worlds things got off with an air of expectation with the dinghy park buzzing about the battle that would commence shortly to determine the World Champion.
