Hobart turned on perfect spring weather today for the start of the yachting season, with more than 120 racing and cruising yachts, motor cruisers and dinghies taking part in the 130th Opening Day on the River Derwent. Ranging from a single-handed foiler Moth class dinghy to ocean racing yachts Dekadence and Auch, the big fleet sailed from a starting line off the Hobart Regatta Grounds to round a mark in Sullivans Cove before crossing the River to Kangaroo Bay at Bellerive.
