I've only ridden this board twice, but I've decided to stick with a slightly wider setup. It's practically brand new and in excellent condition.

WAVE CHASER 235 (7'8) R1 COMP SURF SUP
Wave Chaser R1 is designed for competition level performance. These pocket rockets are a slimmed down version of our Wave Chaser GT Series. The elegant shape features subtle design tweaks that elevate these boards to the ultra high performance realm.

The rail outline has been pulled in more towards the tail and the wide point is centered for balance, creating a shape that want's to be driven down the line at full throttle, swooping off the bottom and snapping off the top. The rounded pin enhances that experience and provides necessary pocket hold when the brakes are applied. All of our performance surf sups feature pinched down, 60/40, rails and a relatively flat rocker with a little extra nose and tail lift. The bottom surface flows seamlessly from a convex nose through to a V double concave. Ease of take off, planing speed, and rail to rail transitions are all enhanced and exaggerated in the R1.

Wave Chaser quad fin slots are set tight and close to the rails, their combined shorter base length work with the rail edge to produce less drag with more drive, turn precision, and hold through the apex.

The 235 R1 is suitable for lighter weight advanced riders up to 78kg.
